Fitness Challenge Friday – Week 6 Mark’s Journal

Weigh In:
Pounds this week = –2.2
Pounds total = -17.4

This is the penultimate weigh-in and the scale is looking pretty good. My average, weekly weight loss has dropped below three pounds, but I had a fairly unproductive week last week.

My left knee is a little sore after riding home today, but I think it’s temporary. I never did lift any weights and I won’t this weekend either as I am going to be out of town.

I’ll see you again next week on the 26th for the final weigh-in. Go get ‘em, Cal!

Fitness Challenge Friday – Week 5 Mark’s Journal

Weigh In:
Pounds this week = –0.8
Pounds total = -15.2

Short and sweet. It’s late. It’s so late it’s Saturday.

Fitness Challenge Friday – Week 4 Mark’s Journal

Weigh In:
Pounds this week = –2.8
Pounds total = -14.4

This was a solid week for me.  I put in 68 cycling miles commuting to work and ate well under my allotted calorie limit every day.  My pants are falling off my waist.  I’m feeling more spry.  I’m getting in shape!  Next week is going to be a blast.

I hope your back is better, Cal.  We only have three more weigh ins for the fitness challenge so hit it hard.

Pounds this week = –1
Pounds total = -8

Well, not so good of a week on the weight loss department.  Two things got to me this week.  1. Two, count ‘em TWO children’s birthday parties and 2. some back problems that prevented me from walking.  Still, I’m at least going in the right direction.

One cool bit of news since I started this journey (even before Mark and I had started the bet) I have lost 17 pounds.  So today, I tried on a pair of  shorts I haven’t worn in two years…fit perfectly.

Keep up the good work Mark.  I have some catching up to do.

Journal:

This really wasn’t the best week for me.  Not only was the weather really bad for most of the week but twice I had sales reps take me to lunch.  Granted, diet wise I did fine, but it just makes it harder to account for everything.

Walking twice a day has been a big help.  My normal routes last about 30-45 minutes each.  I am slowly building up to the point were I can start running again.  And when I do…look out Mark!

So, this weekend we have the combined birthday party for both my girls.  So, again, much food and temptation.  But you know what, one day out of the whole diet scheme isn’t going to to hurt as long as I don’t over do it.

I’ll let you all know how it goes.  Good luck Mark…I got you in my sights :)
